Pinconning Area Schools Employment Policy:

Pinconning Area Schools in accordance with state and federal laws, does

Non Certified Employment:

The application packet below needs to be complete prior to being 
considered for non-certified staff employment.

An applicant must complete the attached information including the 
authorization to obtain an ICHAT background check and PA189 
unprofessional conduct check.

After the background check is complete, if the applicant wishes to 
be called for substitute support work as noted on the application, 
the applicant’s contact name will be sent to the individuals who 
call for substitute support staff.

NOTE: If the applicant is called for such substitute work, the applicant
must visit the Administration office to complete payroll papers prior to 
receiving a paycheck.

Title 1 Parapro  5.5 hours per day at Central Elementary with hours between 8 am and 2 pm as determined by the building Principal or Director of Instructional Services.  Work on days of student instructinon.  7:40 am - 3:10 pm..  Assist in keeping title 1 records.  Work in classrooms with program guidelines with children who need assistance in learning the given curriculum, generally on an individual or small group basis.  Some cklerical work included.  Paraprofessionals assist with parent meetings along with participating in professional growth in and out of the district.  Must meet requirements and have n Assoicates or equivelnt collegge credit or pass the Work Keys testing.  Paraprofessionals must be able to operate general office equipment such as comuters, cop;iers, laminators, fax machines.  they must have an understanding of children and be able to show maturity in deakling with children.  Good communications skills are required with good use of oral language.  A positive rapport with students, teachers, administrators and parents is necessary.  Ability to take direction, to be dependable and responsible.

Special Education Parapro  7 Hours per day at Central Elementary with hours from 7:40 am - 3:10 pm..on days of student instruction.  Assist teacher in supervision, record activities and program implementation.  Developmental learning activities of stuents on a one-to-one or small group basis, providing basic needs for students including bathrooming and diapering, behavioral support, and medications.  Some typing, inservice participatin, evaluation process, and other duties.  These adis may work with a specific child and or group of children with severe needs.   Must have an Associates or equivalent college credits or Work Keys testing.  Must be able to operate general office equipment such as computer, copiers, fax machines, laminators,.  Must have an understanding of children and be able to show maturity in dealing with children.  Good communication skills are required with good use of oral language.  A positive rapport with students, teachers, administrators and parents is necessary.  Must have ability to take direction, to be dependable and responsible.  If interested and qualified please submit a letter of interest to Mike Vieau, Superintendent, Pinconning Area Schools, 605 W Fifth Street, Pinconning MI 48650 by August 21, 2017

Utility Person Assists in the operation of the district in various utility level positions, including bus driver, custodial, maintenance classifications and other work as assigned.  Six hours daily.  Term position Monday through Friday on days of student instruction.  Position starts 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after school is in session.  Split shifts may be scheduled as noted per master contract.  Must be a high school grad or have a GED.  Minimum 10th grade reading level.  Fulfill any testing requirements.  Good character, sound personal habits, good work attitude and attendance record, physically fit.  Able to work without supervision and maintain composure and self-control with staff, students and visitors.  Must be able to operate all warehouse equipment and pass all required tests.  Able to lift 75 lbs and perform heavy work on a regular basis.  Must have a valid chauffeurs license within 30 calendar days and a good driving record.  Must have valid CDL with PS license and air brake endorsement, and pass all of the required tests, such as physical exam, forklift endorsement with 30 days, state test and district test.  Experience preferred in warehouse procedures, plumbing soldering, welding, carpentry, electrical, masonry, custodial/grounds duties, and lawn care equipment.  Probationary rate of minimum wage to start.  Step 1 is $11.47 or as noted under the current USW Contract. Eligible for Category 3 benefits as noted under contract information as noted under the USW Contract under the Business Office tab.  Will Train!


Bus Drivers Needed:  Bus driver positions always needed.  Will train. $10.50 hr

  • Substitute workers needed for bus driver, custodian, paraprofessional, secretarial, cook, noon aide.  These positions are on-call during school year as needed.  Complete application available on line or visit the Administration Office for an application.  Fingerprints required as well as mandatory training for all school employees.  See note below on fingerprints.

    Please Note:  FINGERPRINTING
    All employees, including substitute workers must have a criminal records check (fingerprinting) on file.  You must pay for the cost of fingerprinting of $57.50.  

    Please visit the Administration office to complete the Livescan Fingerprint Request as part of the employment process.  You can pay at that time, cash or check. Once we receive your fingerprints back in the District, you will be allowed to sub in the district.  

    You may not sub until we have your fingerprints on file.  All employees must also complete safe schools certification.
