Scholarships

MEA Scholarship

Must be a dependent of an MEA member in good standing or MEA-Retired member, graduate from a Michigan public high school and plan on attending a public four-year college, community college or vocational school.   Applications are available online at www.mea.org/mea-scholarship, deadline is February 22, 2018.


Elks

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship. Any high school senior who is a US citizen is eligible for one of up to 500 awards. Applications must be completed online enf.elks.org/elks/mvs . Application Deadline is November 27, 2017, application must be received by this date.


Delta Presidential Honor’s Scholarship

Covers two years of tuition, fees, and required books among other benefits. Must be a current graduating senior, be a resident of Bay, Midland, or Saginaw County, have an SAT composite of 1200 or higher, and plan to earn a transfer degree or an occupational degree. Applications are available online beginning October 2, 2017, deadline for applying is November 20, 2017.


Great Lakes Outdoorsmen Foundation Scholarship

$500 scholarship. Applicant must have a minimum of 2.5 gpa, and be attending a college, university, or trade school in the fall 2018. Must also have previously acquired a hunting or fishing license and are currently involved in hunting, fishing, or shooting sports. Applications are available in the Counseling Office, deadline is December 1, 2017. 


Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship

$1000 Awards. Applications for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Regional Scholarship are now available.  All high school seniors in Bay, Midland and Saginaw Counties are eligible. Apply online at http://bayfoundation.org/scholarships/mlkregionalscholarship/ The deadline to apply is October 31, 2017.
