Principal's Message

Dear Spartan Families:

I hope you are enjoying summer vacation. My name is Mark Fuhrman and I am the Principal at Pinconning Middle School. I have been with the district for 10 years, most recently as the High School Assistant Principal. Our educational philosophy at Pinconning Middle School is simple; we are student centered and will provide students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to be successful In the High School Michigan Merit Curriculum. This will be a great year! I look forward to meeting our new parents and working with our families that have established roots at Pinconning Middle School.
I am looking forward to seeing you when you attend one of the mandatory Middle School orientations. The forms will be mailed and will appear on our website soon. I would also invite you to visit our website for information regarding your student’s education. We have programs, such as EdLine, which will allow you to monitor grades and attendance. You will receive more information about this program at orientation.
Middle school is a time of change. The work load and social adjustments are greater here than at the elementary level and the rigor we provide will allow for a smooth transition into the high school setting. Our staff is prepared to help your child during these adjustments and to prepare him or her for High School and the Michigan Merit Curriculum. Your child’s year will be exciting and filled with many opportunities. Your attendance at orientation will be the first step in a successful school year.
