Counseling

Pinconning Central Elementary is proud to offer school Social Work services to all students. The School Social Worker works as a team with parents and teachers to help students solve emotional, social, or behavioral problems that interfere with their school performance.

School Social Workers Provide:

  • Crisis intervention
  • Individual counseling
  • Group counseling
  • Family counseling
  • Home visits
  • Classroom presentations on specific topics
  • Consultations with parents and teachers
  • Community referrals and coordination of resources
  • Community newsletter
  • Advocacy and liaison between school, home and community
  • Coordinate school-wide activities: Week Without Violence, Red Ribbon Week, Life Skills, Caught Doing Something Good
  • Facilitate Peacemaker and Peer Mentor programs
