Pinconning Central Elementary is proud to offer school Social Work services to all students. The School Social Worker works as a team with parents and teachers to help students solve emotional, social, or behavioral problems that interfere with their school performance.
School Social Workers Provide:
- Crisis intervention
- Individual counseling
- Group counseling
- Family counseling
- Home visits
- Classroom presentations on specific topics
- Consultations with parents and teachers
- Community referrals and coordination of resources
- Community newsletter
- Advocacy and liaison between school, home and community
- Coordinate school-wide activities: Week Without Violence, Red Ribbon Week, Life Skills, Caught Doing Something Good
- Facilitate Peacemaker and Peer Mentor programs
