Preschool Students Explore Science and Space on Planetarium Field Trip
On February 19, 2026, students from the Pinconning/Linwood GSRP Preschool enjoyed an exciting and educational field trip to the Delta College Planetarium.
During their visit, children watched Dinosaurs: A Story of Survival, learning how dinosaurs adapted and survived in a changing world. The presentation captured students’ attention with vivid images and engaging storytelling designed especially for young learners.
In addition to the dinosaur feature, students explored stars in our night sky and learned about constellations and planets. The experience concluded with a short “roller-coaster ride,” a motion-filled presentation that gave children the feeling of traveling through space.
Teachers and staff noted that the trip provided a valuable opportunity for hands-on learning outside the classroom. The visit encouraged curiosity, imagination, and an early interest in science and astronomy.
