Decorated hats

Pinconning Central Elementary students were treated to a full month of fun during March Is Reading Month.

Throughout the month, students had special dress up days such as, "Hats off to Reading" where students and staff wore their hats with writing on them. Students and staff also participated in " Reading My Way to College" day that encouraged students to wear something with their favorite college or univeristy on it. Another dress up day was "Wild About Reading" where students and staff wore clothing with animal print. Many students and staff participated in the dress up days.

Students were also treated to an assembly called "The Science of Toys". Students learned about physics involved with toys that spin, bounce, walk and talk, all in an age approrpriate manner. The Science of Toys helped students see the world around them in a new, scientific way.

A parade throught the hallways also took place during March Is Reading Month. The Vocabulary Hat Parade was a success. Students and staff were encouaged to chose a new word from the dictionary and decoate a hat to help describe the word to others.

March Is Reading Month is always a fun time for staff and students at Pinconning Central Elementary.
