March was an exciting and memorable month at Linwood Elementary as we celebrated March is Reading Month with a variety of fun activities designed to get our students excited about books and reading!
Throughout the month, students participated in several themed dress-up days that brought joy and creativity to our hallways. From "Hats Off to Reading" where students wore their favorite hats, to "Cozy Up to a Good Book" pajama day, and our colorful "Class Color Day," the spirit of reading was alive and well at Linwood!
We had an amazing assembly, Science of Toys assembly sponsored by our Linwood Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The interactive presentation combined science and fun, demonstrating how toys work while keeping students engaged and learning.
A highlight of the month was welcoming several Mystery Readers to our classrooms. Our students were delighted to be read to by community leaders and familiar faces including Kawkawlin Township Fire Chief Steve Bernreuter, Garber Chevrolet Linwood General Manager Dave Tokarsky, Pinconning Branch Children's Librarian Kayla Brock, PASD Superintendent Andy Kowalczyk and Board of Education Members Leah Rouleau and Gary Yaros. These special guests shared their love for reading and helped spark excitement among our young readers.
Thank you to our staff, students, families, and community members who made this month so successful. We’re proud to foster a love of reading here at Linwood—and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
